Getting Started

Yes - TradeClone is a NinjaTrader 8 add-on, so it installs into your existing copy of NT8. If you don't have NinjaTrader yet, it's a free download; once that's in place, add the TradeClone add-on and you're copying. Full steps are in the getting started guide.

If your PC runs NinjaTrader 8, it runs TradeClone - there's no extra hardware needed beyond your normal trading setup. That means a Windows PC (Windows 10 or 11) that meets NinjaTrader's own requirements.

Yes - there's a 7-day free trial on the Monthly plan. Set it up and run the full copier on your own accounts for the week; if you carry on past day 7 it continues at $39.99/mo, and you can cancel any time before then.

A few minutes. Install the add-on, pick your leader account, add your followers, set each one's ratio, and you're copying.

Platforms

TradeClone works inside NinjaTrader 8 and copies between the accounts you connect there, including Tradovate accounts you've linked to NinjaTrader. Any account you can trade in NT8 works, whatever broker or feed sits behind it, so there's nothing extra to set up on the broker's side.

NinjaTrader 8, the free Windows desktop platform.

NinjaTrader 8 is a Windows application, so TradeClone runs on Windows.

Yes. TradingView can place trades through NinjaTrader, and TradeClone copies them like any other NT8 trade. You just need NinjaTrader open with TradeClone running, and your TradingView connected to (logged into) NinjaTrader when you place the trade. Once the fill lands in your TradeClone leader account, it mirrors to your followers.

No. TradeClone only works inside NinjaTrader 8, and TopstepX runs on ProjectX - a completely separate platform. There's no way for TradeClone to reach a ProjectX or TopstepX account, so those can't be copied to or from.

Prop Firms

TradeClone runs locally inside your own copy of NinjaTrader 8 and mirrors trades between the accounts you've added. That means it works with any firm whose accounts you can trade in NT8/Tradovate, so check whether your prop firm supports NinjaTrader 8 or Tradovate.

Yes - copying to several funded accounts at once is exactly what most traders use TradeClone for. Add as many followers as you like (both plans support unlimited accounts), and each trade you place on your leader copies to all of them at once.

Yes. Each follower has its own quantity ratio, so every funded account can run at a different size off the same leader trade - handy when your accounts have different contract limits or drawdowns. A ×1 account and a ×3 account both fill from one entry, each scaled to its own ratio.

Rules vary by firm - some allow copying across your own accounts, others limit or restrict it. Always check your firm's current terms before copying. TradeClone only mirrors trades you place yourself; it does not trade on its own.

Copy Trading

TradeClone runs inside NinjaTrader 8 and watches your leader account. The moment your entry fills, it submits the matching order to each follower in the same platform, with no cloud server in the middle. It keeps every follower lined up with your leader's live position, each using its own copy mode (exact 1-1, a ratio, or a fixed preset size), and your stops and targets copy across per account.

TradeClone supports market, limit, stop and MIT orders, plus ATM-based entries. It follows your leader's fills, so those entries copy to each follower as they fill, and your ATM stop-loss and take-profit brackets mirror across and scale to every account.

Yes. A common setup is a leader on NQ with followers on MNQ. Quantities scale by the per-account ratio you set.

Each follower has its own quantity ratio (for example ×1 on one account and ×5 on another), so you size every account on its own.

Yes. TradeClone has full ATM bracket support and mirrors your stops and targets to each follower, scaled to that account.

Flatten All closes every open position across all your connected accounts in one click, so you can go completely flat everywhere at once - handy at the end of a session or if you need out in a hurry.

No - both plans support unlimited follower accounts.

Yes - if it was another NinjaTrader Copier make sure to remove the NinjaScript Assembly so there are no threading issues with TradeClone. If you used a 3rd party tool that didn't connect directly within NinjaTrader then you will be okay just make sure you don't have the past one up and running whilst using TradeClone.

Risk Management

Yes - risk is set per account on the RISK tab. Each account can have its own Daily Loss and Daily Profit limit as a dollar amount (tick to enable, then set the figure), measured on that account's total PnL, realised and unrealised. Capping one account leaves all the others untouched.

The moment an account reaches its daily loss limit or profit target, that account alone is flattened - its open position is closed, copying switches off, and its row locks with a padlock (hover shows the reason). The leader and every other follower carry on as normal, so one account hitting its limit never touches the rest.

Use the padlock on that account's row. The first click flashes red as a deliberate guard against accidental clears; a second click within a second brings up a confirmation, and choosing Yes removes the lock and unticks that account's risk limits. Locks also clear on their own at the daily rollover (6:00 PM Eastern), when any account set to enabled comes back online for the new session.

No - the risk controls run inside TradeClone, watching each account's live PnL. If TradeClone or NinjaTrader isn't running, nothing is monitoring your limits, so keep it open while those accounts are live.

Billing

The feature set is identical on both. Yearly is $359.99 a year, which works out cheaper than paying monthly, and includes all updates. Monthly is $39.99/mo. Both can be cancelled anytime.

The 7-day free trial runs on the Monthly plan. You set TradeClone up and use the full copier on your own accounts for the week at no cost; if you don't cancel before day 7, it continues on Monthly at $39.99/mo. You can cancel any time in that window through Whop and you won't be charged.

Purchases are handled through Whop, with an instant download right after checkout.

Yes - cancel anytime through Whop. You keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for, so cancelling never cuts you off mid-cycle. After that it simply doesn't renew.

TradeClone operates a no-refund policy. If there's an issue with your purchase, you can still open a dispute through Whop.

Yes - both plans receive free updates as the product evolves.

Yes - there's an affiliate programme. You earn a commission on every trader you refer, with your own link and ready-made promo assets to share. See the affiliate page to get started.

Troubleshooting

Start with the status dot on that follower's row. Check it's enabled (green dot), that a leader is picked in the LEADER dropdown, and that the account is connected in NinjaTrader. Those three cover most cases where a follower sits idle.

It's usually the instrument. TradeClone watches the one it's set to, so your leader has to be trading that same contract for it to mirror. Place an order on a different instrument and it won't copy.

Yellow means that account is holding a position that doesn't match the leader. Flatten it, or bring it back in line with the leader, and it resyncs to green.

Check the MODE first, then that account's value in the RATIO or PRESET column. In Ratio mode the follower's size is the leader's quantity times that ratio, so a wrong ratio is the usual cause.

No - any difference in price will be minuscule, if there's one at all. Each account fills through its own broker or firm routing, so the exact price can vary a touch, but TradeClone submits every follower order the instant your leader fills, with no cloud hop in between, so fills land tight to the leader. Each follower still tracks the leader's position, with its own brackets managed separately.

Your configuration lives at Documents\NinjaTrader 8\TradeClone.xml and is restored on restart and across workspace switches. If something didn't stick, that file is the place to check.

TradeClone has a built-in report system - it sends over the exact output from your recent actions, so I can see what happened and work out whether it's an issue with the copier or something in your setup.
